Dendrobium
alaticaulinum from New Guinea (Section Pedilonum)
A small dangling epiphyte from the cloud and moss forests up to 10,000
ft. in New Guinea. It needs to be cool and moist all the year round.
The canes are quite soft and flowers appear on the leafless ones each year during autumn and winter. The flowers are in clusters and are pink with a pointed, more reddish lip.
Culture is easy and rewarding when the plants are grown either on a raft or in a pot, neither of which should be allowed to dry out.

Seedlings are sent out in small plastic flasks, weather permitting. Please also enquire for Mother Flasks (containing a few hundred young seedlings, ready to replate) - or Commercial Flasks (containing 30+ seedlings at transplanting size, for delivery in Spring 2008). Orders can be delivered to any show we are attending.
